Description and application:

The piston vibrators –VTL Serie-  distinguishes from the other Findeva vibrators, by being equiped with a freely flying piston.

The housing is normally mounted to a steady mass (e.g.  machine or construction) while the freely flying piston can vibrate or is mounted to a mass to be vibrated. When connecting the compressed air to VTL-motor the piston starts vibrating (size “S” according to our dimensions sketch) which generates a large amplitude and a linear vibration.

The vibration frequency is steplessly variable by using pressed air (adjustable from 2-6 bar). The VTL-series piston vibrators combines working with low frequencies while generating  large amplitudes.  The vibration is generated  by a freely oscillating, automatically reversing piston. Both masses, the piston on the one side and the mass fastened to the housing on the other, thereby vibrate against each other in proportion to their total weights.

The VTL-series vibrators are no knockers and may not be used as such. The piston rod (or the vibrating-body) must always be able to move freely. Because of that the centrifugal force/time curve is practically sinus-shaped. This feature is ideal for transporting or assisting in the flow and control of (soft) materials.

The VTL-series is built of steel parts (which corrodes) and do need lubrication!

The power-to-weight ratio of the unit makes it particularly efficient for feeder applications. The VTL-series vibrators are easy to install and designed to work continuously under the most arduous conditions.

Installation instructions:

The baseplate and the extending piston of the VTL-series are provided with a stud hole with an threaded insert, by which the vibrator, or according to the application, the extending piston can be mounted by just 1 bolt. The vibrating body locates the compressed air hose in- and outlet port (both supplied with internal thread), in which a compressed air nipple and silincer can be mounted.

The ambient temperature of the VTL series is maximum 60⁰C.

The VTL-series piston vibrators can be mounted in any working position.

Maximum pressure: 2 – 6 Bar= 87 PSI
